India’s leading English news channel, Times Now has officially launched on the Sky Digital platform across the UK.

The channel had been testing off the Sky EPG for over two weeks and is now available on Sky channel 576, free-to-air.

The launch of the channel couldn’t have come at a better time when news channels worldwide are reporting India Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s visit to the UK. Times Now claims to have the largest network of reporters in the UK amongst Indian news channel for its extensive coverage. Times Now was one of the first Indian broadcasters to relay images of Modi’s Air India One flight landing at London Heathrow this morning.

Times Now will now compete with the likes of NDTV 24×7, Aaj Tak, ABP News and News18 India in the UK for a share of the pie in this competitive market.

Times Now will soon be rolling out its marketing plans in the UK with outdoor, radio, online and press commercials and advertorials in the pipeline.
