Times Now begins BARB reporting

India’s leading English news channel, Times Now has begun BARB reporting with immediate effect.

The channel, which launched in the UK in November last year, has been testing BARB data for a number of weeks. It confirmed to BizAsiaLive.com that it had gone BARB today.

It will be interesting to see how the UK Asian diaspora responds to Times Now, which is known for its straight and hard-talking news reporting. The channel’s flagship ‘The Newshour’ show, hosted by Arnab Goswami is expected to do well.

In the UK, ABP News and Aaj Tak lead the Indian news channels, followed by NDTV 24×7 and News18.

Times Now is available on Sky channel 576, free-to-air.
