Three shows face chop as Sahara One revamps

Call it a response to pressure its facing from newbies like NDTV Imagine and 9X or just a plain old revamp…whatever it is, Sahara One has axed three of its underperforming shows in exchange for new dramas.

‘Zaara’, ‘Solhah Singaarr’ and ‘Main Aisi Kyun Hoon’ will terminate at the end of this month.

When Telly Chakkar contacted Sahara One Programming Head Kalyan Sundaram said, “There are a few shows which are under the gun but I can only comment on their fate after a week.”

While Kalyan remained tight-lipped, Telly Chakkar spoke to various actors from each of the above named shows and they confirmed the developments.

Replacement details are yet to be announced; however ‘Zaara’ is likely to be replaced by ‘Mata Ki Chowki’.
