‘The White Tiger’ & Riz Ahmed shortlisted in Oscar 2021 nominations

‘The White Tiger’ and actor Riz Ahmed have been shortlisted in nominations announced today for the 93rd Academy Awards.

The nominations declared by power couple, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas, announced writer-director Ramin Bahrani in the Best Adapted Screenplay category, while Ahmed became the first Muslim actor to be nominated in the Best Actor category. His role of a drummer losing his hearing in ‘Sound of Metal’ has been appreciated by many.

It is worth adding that Ahmed has also been nominated at BAFTA 2021.

The main event takes place at the end of April 2021.
