‘The Simpsons’ non-white characters to no longer be dubbed by white actors

In the aftermath of the death of George Floyd in America and the protests which have continued for ‘Black Lives Matter’, the makers of ‘The Simpsons’ have released a statement confirming that they will not be using white actors to voice non-white characters in the show.

“Moving forward, ‘The Simpsons’ will no longer have white actors voice non-white characters,” said the statement, according to The Guardian.

This move is perhaps a result of years of pressure on Fox Television for having Hank Azaria voice the character of Apu in the show, who is a regular character.
