The Sikh Channel is relocating by shifting its programming base to the capital, BizAsia can confirm.

The popular free-to-air service will be holding a Sri Akhand Path Sahib later this month to mark the launch of the new studio facility. This will be followed by a Kirtan divan and special guest speeches. Guru Ka Langar will be served throughout. The auspicious event will be broadcast live on the channel.

Currently, The Sikh Channel, which also broadcasts in Canada, has a set-up in Birmingham but has been eyeing a move to London for several months. The Sikh Channel, will now continue to operate its technical aspect from Birmingham, however programming will be carried out in London.

The Sikh Channel is available on Sky channel 840.
