‘Thalaivi’ to see reunion of ‘Roja’ pair Madhoo Shah & Arvind Swami

Popular 90s pair Madhoo Shah and Arvind Swami will be appearing together on screens once again for an upcoming Indian biographical film, ’Thalaivi’, which has Kangana Ranaut playing protagonist.

Narrating the life of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayaram Jayalithaa, Shah will appear alongside Swami as his third wife, Janaki Devi. India Today reported that a source close to the ‘Thalaivi’ team has confirmed the actress’s starring role.

Before joining the shoot, Shah was encouraged to watch video clips of Janaki Devi in order to successfully assume the role. Following their roles as husband and wife in the Indian romantic thriller ‘Roja’ (1992), the pair will be coupled yet again for the lead roles.

Directed by AL Vijay, whose director debut was made with ‘Kireedam’ in 2007,  the film ‘Thalaivi’ is being split into two parts.
