‘Tere Naam’ sequel on the cards?

Sequels have been the flavour of the season in Bollywood for quite some time now. ��With Salman Khan starrer ‘Tere Naam’ (2003) having celebrated 12 years since its release this gone weekend, director Satish Kaushik has neither denied or confirmed rumours of a sequel but has confirmed that he gets many requests for the same.

Speaking to��Absolute India, Kaushik said, “My phone and social networking account gets flooded with messages urging me to make ‘Tere Naam 2’ with Salman Khan… You will not believe it but people keep sending me stories for ‘Tere Naam 2’.”

With writers approaching the filmmaker with stories for the sequel, it will come as no surprise should a sequel be announced in the near future.

‘Tere Naam’ starred Salman Khan opposite Bhumika Chawla and was undoubtedly a turning point in Khan’s career, as the film worked not only commercially but also won the actor much critical acclaim.
