Ten Sports renews deal with Pak cricket board

Ten Sports has renewed its deal with the Pakistani Cricket Board for five more years.

The joint bid, which was placed along with PTV, is said to be worth USD 150 million. Ten Sports has been the rights holder for the past ten years. The new deal takes effect from April 2015 up until 2020.

“The board of governors approved awarding broadcasting rights to Pakistan Television and Ten Sports, joint bidders for PCB�۪s next rights cycle for five years,�۝ the PCB said in a statement.

The deal consists of Pakistan playing seven bi-lateral series at home including one against India in December���January 2015���16 involving two Tests, five ODIs, and two T20 series during the five-year rights cycle. Between October 2015 and March 2019, Pakistan will play 54 matches, which include 16 Tests, 30 ODIs, and eight T20s.
