Tata Play & Airtel Digital TV set to merge in India

Tata Group’s Tata Play and Bharti Group’s Airtel Digital TV are reportedly set to merge, as per Economic Times.

The merger would result in a combined entity valued at $1.6 billion, with Bharti Airtel holding a majority stake of 52%-55%, while Tata Play would retain the remaining share.

Tata Play is currently a 70:30 joint venture between Tata Sons and Disney.
