Tanushree Dutta slaps Rakhi Sawant with a Rs. 10 crore defamation suit

Tanushree Dutta, who reignited the #MeToo movement a few weeks ago, after allegedly exposing Nana Patekar for sexual misconduct, has slapped a Rs. 10 crore defamation suit against Rakhi Sawant.

The former item girl, replaced Dutta in the ‘Horn Ok Please’ song when Dutta opted out. She recently held a press conference where she branded her a “liar”. She even passed a number of comments about her image and said she was cooking up stories against Patekar.

Dutta’s lawyer Nitin Satpute told Republic TV, “We have filed a criminal and civil defamation case against Rakhi Sawant for maligning my client’s character and image. If she fails to revert, she will be punished for two years or fined or both.”
