Tanuj Virwani to star in Farhan Akhtar’s web series

Tanuj Virwani hasn’t had much luck with establishing his Bollywood career. But it looks like there is still hope for the young actor, who is being given another chance by none other than Farhan Akhtar.

As reported in SpotboyE, Akthar is casting Virwani in his web series for Amazon Prime, which is said to be one of the most expensive productions to be made with a budget of Rs. 85 lakh. Not much has been given away about the web series apart from the title of the series – ‘Power Play’ – and that Virwani essays a character of a bratty cricketer.

Virwani who is delighted to be apart of this project, opens up about overcoming his failures. “It felt very bad when my first film Luv U Soniyo flopped, but my second one Purani Jeans was coming up soon so it acted like a cushion. But when Purani Jeans too sank, I was extremely hurt.  I decided to stay away from everybody. However, I realised after a few months that I better take the failures on my chin and face the world. You need to be very thick skinned in Bollywood as you meet all sorts of people.”
