‘Tanu Weds Manu’ sequel in trouble

��Tanu Weds Manu�۪ (2011) went on to become a bigger success than people had anticipated.�� In fact, it came as no surprise when the director, Aanand L Rai, announced that he will be making a sequel.�� However, the film is now facing trouble as the producers of the original claim that Rai has not asked for their permission and thus cannot go through with this project.

���Aanand Rai is just a director and ��Tanu Weds Manu�۪ is our property.�� Hence he cannot continue with the film without our permission.�� He has been talking about making the sequel since two years but he has not met me yet.�� One partner has already sent him (Rai) a legal notice.�� I am sending him a notice today,�۝ Vinod Bachchan, co-producer of the first instalment, said to PTI.

Rai has gone on record to say that he has not received any legal notice and legal matters, if any, would be handled by Eros Entertainment, who are the producers of the sequel.
