Kangna Ranaut starrer ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ has been preponed to release on 22nd May this year.

The film, which is the sequel to 2011 blockbuster movie ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ and is produced by Eros International & Colour Yellow Productions, was earlier scheduled to hit theaters on 29th May this year.

The makers have now decided to prepone the release date, owing to the fact that the quirky romantic entertainer starring R. Madhavan and Ranaut in two roles, has completed well within its schedule and is now ready to release, with a two-week clear run.

Source told IANS, “While it was decided that Tanu Weds Manu Returns would release on the 29th May, the schedule was completed earlier than planned.”

“The makers are happy with the way the film has shaped up and believe that it is ready for audiences to enjoy. Additionally, preponing the film’s release to a week earlier, allows them to have a better run at the B/O, owing to the fact that the next big ticket release will happen in June,” said the source further.
