Takbeer TV buys Sky EPG to launch channel

Islamic channel, Takbeer TV has bought the Sky Digital EPG that once homed shopping channel, South Africa Direct.

Takbeer TV will be the latest Islamic channel to launch recently on the Sky Digital platform. In the past four months, Ahlulbayt TV, Ummah Channel, Ahlebait TV, Peace TV Urdu, Suni TV’s deal with DM Digital and ILM Radio have launched. Fast TV was also available before being axed last month.

It is not confirmed when Takbeer TV will officially launch but it is likely to go live by the end of this month within the ‘International’ genre of the EPG.

For viewers who wish to view the full video tests of Takbeer TV, follow the steps below:

-> Using your Sky Digi remote, go to Services Menu
-> System Setup (4)
-> Add Channels (4)
-> Enter frequency: 11.343 (V), FEC: 2/3, SR: 27500
-> Find Channels and Press SELECT
-> Highlight “SA Direct” service and press Yellow button.
-> Return to Services Menu
-> Other Channels (6) on STB / (8) on Sky+
-> “SA Direct” should be listed and available
