Takbeer TV & Bangla TV go off air in UK

Two channels have abruptly fallen off the air on the Sky Digital platform in UK, BizAsia can confirm.

Takbeer TV, which broadcasts on EPG 845 is an Islamic infotainment channel, with a content sharing deal with Pakistani news service, Dawn News. The channel is currently displaying a black screen and has been like this for most part of the day.

Similarly, Bangla TV, which is available on Sky channel 786, has been removed completely from the Sky Digital line-up. It was showing a black screen before being disappearing.

It is not known what has caused both channels to go off air. It just happens to be a coincidence for both channels to be taken off air on the same day. It remains to be seen when and if the channels will be returning.
