Tahir Raj Bhasin impressed audiences in his stint as a villain in ‘Mardaani’ (2014), so when he started shooting forKushan Nandy۪s ‘Babumoshai Bandook-baaz’, it seemed he was all set. However, when the film was suddenly shelved after the actor had started working on the film, the makers didn’t pay him for those parts.
Deccan Chronicle reported that the makers of the film managed to get back on track some time later, however Bhasin wasn’t called back. Not only that, he hasn’t even been paid for the parts of the film in which he worked on.
A source was reported revealing, “They have not cleared Tahir۪s dues, they don۪t even answer calls or reply to messages regarding payment. So obviously when they have not cleared his dues, how will they just call him for the shoot and why will Tahir shoot the film in such a case?”
‘Babumoshai Bandook-baaz’ stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui andChitrangada Singh. Nandy was also contacted, and went asked about the situations, he explained, “We are not using anything from what we shot in the past. It۪s the same story but we are shooting it afresh.”
“Characters and parts of the script have undergone changes so all of the cast apart from Nawaz and Chitra have changed,” he went on to add.
All is not lost for Bhasin however, he will next be seen in Abhinay Deo’s ‘Force 2’.
