Tabu: “Stop calling Drishyam my comeback film”

Tabu Drishyam first look 340x

Veteran actress Tabu who will be seen in a key role in upcoming movie ‘Drishyam’, does not like people calling the movie her ‘comeback’ film or stating that this is her ‘comeback phase’. When the raving beauty was questioned about her upcoming thriller flick, she expressed her annoyance over the same.

The 43-year-old actress told Deccan Chronicle, “I don’t know why the media calls it my comeback every time. The media coins such terms: comeback, breaking the glass ceiling, game changer, and torchbearer. Kya karein, ab yeh term baith jaata hai ek baar, toh bas.. Recluse, this that, god knows how people have described me always. Words are not important at all. They should not be also because eventually they are just words. What matters is work and what matters to me is what I am doing.”

After this she explains, why she’s doing more films now, saying, “Yes, so that people stop calling it a comeback every time (laughs out loud) No, but on a serious note, I am doing more films because I am getting good roles. All these films came to me now. If they had come three years back, I would have said yes to it even back then.”

Tabu will be seen essaying the role of a cop in the Nishikant Kamat directorial flick. The movie also stars Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran in crucial roles.

‘Drishyam’ is slated to hit the screens on 31st July.
