Anurag Kashyap has cast Tabu and Nawazuddin Siddiqui as voice actors for the audio webseries ‘Thriller Factory’ on Audible Suno.
The series includes 10 episodes inspired by Ved Prakash Sharma’s Hindi suspense stories. Kashyap shared that he looked forward to exploring this new medium. “I’ve been hearing audio books for a while now. It’s like magic unfolding while your eyes are shut. When I was offered to direct this audio show, it seemed like a cherry on the cake. It gave me the opportunity to feed my basic instincts. The joy of bringing Hindi pulp like ‘Manohar Kahaniyaan’ and ‘Satya Katha’ to life without censorship or any kind of control is immense.”, Filmfare reported.
Tabu’s first collaboration with Kashyap was a great experience for her, as she praised the long-standing partnership between him and Siddiqui. “They’re a wonderful combination. With some duos, no matter how many years they have been working together, there’s something about their shared frequency that manages to create magic on screen,” she said, adding that the project has been tough, but satisfying for her, “The focus was completely on our voices. There was no other crutch. When you’re acting, there are so many other elements but here you had to remind yourself to concentrate on the voice. That’s the only tool you had. It was a new but exciting process for me.”
Siddiqui has voiced the first episode titled ‘Apne Katl ki Supari’, and Tabu has narrated episode 2 called ‘Kala Gulab’. ‘Thriller Factory’ also features Sapan Saran, Sachin Khedekar and Loveleen Mishra.
