Anil Kapoor’s Indian adaptation of ’24’ proved to be a hit with the masses. While actors like Mandira Bedi and Tisca Chopra were a part of season one, it looks like Bollywood will come in full force for season two, as both Tabu and Akshaye Khanna have been approached for it.
Kapoor has kept mum on the recent developments but director Abhinay Deo is quite excited with more Bollywood additions to the series. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Deo revealed, “Yes, we have met both of them and we are talking, discussions are on. Casting is not confirmed as yet but yes, Bollywood will in a way be part of the show and there is nothing wrong in it. The good part is that they bring a certain charm. Yes, Anil and Akshaye are very close to each other…but then it has to work from all sides, we are trying. Tabu and Akshaye should fit in, then both the parties have to be fine, it has to gel. There are several actors we are meeting, some will happen, some won’t.”
Shooting for the second season will start in November. Meanwhile, Kapoor was last seen in Anees Bazmee’s ‘Welcome Back’ (2015).
