Taapsee Pannu is one of the busiest stars in the industry today. She has been working nonstop and completed four films before the second wave of the coronavirus brought the country to a half yet again. Her first film of this year, ‘Haseen Dillruba,’ premieres on Netflix today. Following this, further information has been released about her next project.
The star will appear in Zee Studios’ next production that will be directed by Ajay Bahl. The yet-untitled film is said to be a psychological thriller that revolves mainly around three characters. Gulshan Devaiah will play one of the leads alongside Pannu, reports PeepingMoon. The film is due to go into production around 20th July.
Pannu was first supposed to start shooting for the Mithali Raj biopic, ‘Shabaash Mithu,’ but the film has been pushed by months after it went through a change in director. This allows the star to jump right into Bahl’s film before ‘Shabaash Mithu’. She will then go on to work on a South Indian film before finally heading to Sidharth Roy Kapur’s ‘Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan’ that pairs her alongside breakthrough star, Pratik Gandhi.
Meanwhile, Pannu’s ‘Rashmi Rocket’ is said to be taking the OTT route due to the uncertainty around the reopening of theatres, while her ‘Run Rola Run’ (1998) remake, ‘Loop Lapeta,’ and Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Dobaaraa’ is currently in post-production.
Bahl, meanwhile, has quit Red Chillies Entertainment’s ‘Freddy,’ after its lead star Kartik Aaryan left the film due to creative differences. And, following his project with Pannu, he’s due to crack on with a big-budget drama for a major production company.
