T-Series president: “Udta Punjab music is not worth us”

‘Udta Punjab’ is garnering much attention with its multi-starrer cast of Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, and Diljit Dosanjh. While initial reports had said that Bhusan Kumar’s ‘T-Series’ had bought the music rights for Rs. 18 Crores, the company is denying the buzz, calling it ‘irresponsible’ reporting.

Bollywood Hungama reports ‘T-Series’ president Priya Gupta saying, “First and foremost ‘Udta Punjab’ music is not worth us. Secondly, a film like that does not attract music rights for more than Rs. 3 Crores. The news is not only incorrect but also irresponsible.”

‘Udta Punjab’ is slated for a 17th June release.
