Suzanne Bernert to play Indira Gandhi in ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’

Suzanne Bernert has had her share of acting roles in Bollywood and Indian television, and she is all ready to play the powerful role of Indira Gandhi, in the Anupam Kher starrer ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’. The film’s cast was not announced along with Anupam Kher’s, as the makers wanted to keep it under wraps.

A source said, “We wanted to focus on the main cast and keep the identity of the rest of the cast members away from the limelight. Suzanne was chosen because she can speak Hindi and English and has shown confidence in playing Mrs Gandhi before,” as according to Deccan Chronicle. 

Bernert has played Indira Gandhi before, in the documentary series, ‘Pradhanmantri’ (2013-2014).
