Sushmita Sen to debut in Bengali cinema

Former beauty queen Sushmita Sen has been signed for a Bengali film ‘Nirbaak’. The film will be directed by Srijit Mukherjee.

“It’s a film called Nirbaak (speechless). It comprises of four love stories connected by the theme of silence. The stories are intertwined and connected by Sushmita’s character,” Mukherjee said, according to NDTV.

The actress has been craving for a Bengali movie since long. In 2005 she did Mahesh Manjrekar’s ‘It Was Raining That Night’, but the film did not release. Of late, she was said to star in Rupali Chatterjee’s ‘Jodi Emon Hoto’, but it has been deferred and there`s no more news about it.

So, finally Sen succeeded in fulfilling her desire to star in a Bengali film. Besides Sen, ‘Nirbaak’ will also feature Jisshu Sengupta and Ritwick Chakraborty.
