Sushant Singh has confirmed his return to Star Bharat’s crime-based series, ‘Savdhaan India’ after a gap of nine-months.

During his absence, Singh was replaced by Ashutosh Rana and Tisca Chopra, with a new show format. However, the ratings have been somewhat lukewarm.

Singh told Times of India, “When I was replaced, I felt that my journey on the show was over. It was a bit difficult for me to accept it and move on. However, now that I have resumed shooting for it again, I feel that I am back home.”

Asked if he was indispensable, Singh added, “I don’t know if we can use the word ‘indispensable’, but yes, over seven years, I guess I have become the face of the show. There was a huge connect with the audience across the country. Now that I am back, I hope to put my best foot forward.”

Chopra confirmed that she had finished shooting for the show. She said, “My shoot is over and I don’t want to get into any controversies. It was anyways a short-term stint that I agreed to do.”

Rana added, “My contract with the show is over and I am not aware of any other development.”
