Sushant Singh Rajput’s postmortem confirms death by hanging

Since Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden demise on 14th June 2020, fans have been questioning whether the actor’s death was by suicide or if there was foul play involved.

Following on from Rajput’s death, the Indian film industry has come under fire after accusations of nepotism and hypocrisy emerged. Many linked a number of film personalities to Rajput’s demise.

However, a postmortem report analysed by five doctors, released today has confirmed that Rajput died of hanging. It states that the actor died of asphyxia due to hanging. However, Mumbai Police will await the viscera report and have written a letter to DG Forensics over the same, according to ZEE News.

Mumbai Police said that this report will put rumours surrounding the cause of death, to rest. It states that there were no signs of strangulation and nothing was found his nail samples.

The police has recorded statements from 23 people. It is waiting to record the statement of Rajput’s doctor.
