Sushant Singh Rajput turns down ‘Arth’ remake?

With Jacqueline Fernandez and Swara Bhaskar already having said yes to the film, news has it that Sushant Singh Rajput has turned down the role for the upcoming remake of ‘Arth’ (1982).

According to Cineblitz, an insider revealed how the actor said no to playing the role of the film maker originally played by Kulbhushan Kharbanda. News of the actor first being approached caused much excitement due to his on-screen chemistry with Fernandez is a favourite. 

Where Bhaskar and Fernandez will be filling the shoes of Shabana Azmi and Smita Patil, there is a lot of talk as to who will play Kharbanda’s role. There have been rumours that the 1982 fil was loosely based on director Mahesh Bhatt’s life, where it tells the story of a film maker leaving his wife for an actress.
