Madhur Bhandarkar is set to work on his next project based on a mafia, which is likely to see Sushant Singh Rajput take on the lead role.
According to The Asian Age, Rajput is said to be contemplating the film called ‘Inspector Ghalib’ about the sand mafia in India.
A source told the publication, “Sushant who had a meeting with Madhur Bhandarkar recently, liked the idea. He likes Madhur’s style of filmmaking and was keen to collaborate. Sushant is more of a director’s actor.”
The source added, “Cop films are doing well. Inspector Ghalib is the story of a cop who is up in arms against illegal sand mining in various parts of the country, and he takes on the sand mafia. And like every other Madhur film, this will not be a movie like a Simmba or a Singham. It will cock-a-snook at the issue and will tickle the underbelly of the system that supports illegal sand mining.”
