ShekharKapur’s ‘Paani’ has been more in the news for its delays than its actual shoots. The film which has been delayed for than a year is yet to go on the floors, and lead actor Sushant Singh Rajput says that he is no superstar to give ‘Paani’ a grand opening, but he is still hopeful for its release.

On the constant delay,Rajput toldPinkvilla,”Because it is a very big budget film and everybody needs to be on the same page especially when you are making such an expensive film. And we are trying something different. It is not a potboiler and I am no superstar who will give a 25-30 crore opening. I am glad that the producers and the directors are at least thing about taking a new actor like Sushant to play a very important role in this magnum opus film. If it happens, well and good! You can never be sure of anything. I have worked for almost 6 months on it. So lets see.”

Rajput is also vigorously preparing for his next bio-pic, ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’, slated to start shooting in late August.
