Sushant Singh Rajput is headed to Chambal for Abhishek Chaubey’s next

Sushant Singh Rajput’s dedication to his characters and films are no hidden secret. The actor is known to immerse himself into each character, and turn everything else off. Abhishek Chaubey’s next, which revolves around the 1970’s Chambal dacoits, will see Rajput playing a dacoit, and he will be heading to Chambal three weeks before the shooting schedule to prepare for his character.

Mirror reports a source saying, “Sushant is playing a dacoit for the first time and wanted to get into the character before the schedule starts so he will leave for the location on January 12 to spend time with a few former dacoits. He will also lose some muscle weight to look the rustic part as well as learn rifle shooting. The cast will also have to work on the Bundelkhandi dialect. Abhishek is leaving for Chambal on January 8 for a two month schedule. This will be followed by a shorter schedule in Mumbai at a later stage.” The source added that Rajput will also celebrate his birthday on 21st January on Chaubey’s sets.

Rajput will be seen alongside Bhumi Pednekar in the untitled project.
