Surveen Chawla’s excited about ‘Parched’ premiere at TIFF

Surveen Chawla

The very sensuous Bollywood actress Surveen Chawla’s upcoming flick ‘Parched’, which has been helmed by Leena Yadav, is all set to premiere at Toronto Film Festival 2015.

“The film is one of the most beautiful journeys I’ve had in so many years of my work, transforming me to a great degree. Parched is an expression of what every woman wants to say. Tannishtha (Chatterjee), Radhika (Apte) and I have had the most brilliant experiences,” the actress told Mumbai Mirror.

“It’s a fantastic film and I cannot wait for its release. I think it might travel across festivals before releasing in India. I play a nautch dancer in the film. It’s bold superficially but with a lot of depth,” Chawla concluded.

The film is set in the heart of parched rural landscape of Gujarat, India. It traces the bittersweet tale of four ordinary women Rani, Lajjo, Bijli and Janaki.
