Surveen Chawla stepped into Bollywood with the thriller, ‘Hate Story 2’ (2014). While the film was a stepping stone into films, Chawla was only offered erotic films thereafter. Without thinking twice, she rejected them all and wants to be seen in mainstream Bollywood cinema now.

To the Hindustan Times, Chawla said, “I have tried to make the best of what I have been offered. After Hate Story 2, I went through a phase where I was only offered eroticas. But I wanted to do other kind of films, and refused them all. There came a stage when I’d not even read the script, and say no to the moment I found out the film was an erotica. I have finally started getting different offers. I am totally dying to do something absolutely mainstream, like a proper Bollywood love story which has commercial value. But my role has to be significant,I wouldn’t want to be a piece of furniture in it.”

Chawla was last seen in the song ‘Tutti Bole Marriage Di’ from the recently released ‘Welcome Back’ (2015).
