Recently, it acquired an AM frequency becoming the only Punjabi radio station to broadcast London-wide and making it the biggest Punjabi radio station in the UK.
Surjit Singh Ghuman MBE, Managing Director Panjab Radio said, “It gives me immense pride to be celebrating 20 years of broadcasting history and to receive the support of so many friends we’ve made along those years.
“When Panjab Radio launched in 2000, it was the UK’s first Panjabi media outlet broadcasting on Sky platform and has now become a house hold name in the Panjabi community, I think I’m most proud of the profound impact this radio had on the progress of Panjabi community, both financially and as a society.”
