Suraj Pancholi sent to judicial custody til 27th June

A Mumbai court has ruled that Suraj Pancholi will be sent to judicial custody until 27th June.

The 21-year old actor was arrested on Monday 10th June and charged with abetting the suicide of Khan after a letter was found in her room describing her troubled relationship with Pancholi.

The letter was not addressed to anyone but appears to refer to a romantic relationship. “If you’re reading this I might have already left or about to leave. I am broken inside,” she wrote. In court, Mr Pancholi’s lawyer argued that the letter found after Ms Khan’s death does not name his client.

A post-mortem report, which was released earlier today revealed no marks were found on Khan’s body, apart from those on her neck and throat from the hanging.
