Supreme Court rejects plea to cancel Salman Khan’s bail

The Supreme Court has rejected a plea to cancel Salman Khan’s bail, which granted by the Bombay High Court in the 2002 hit-and-run case.

“We are sorry. The petitioner is permitted to withdraw the petition,” the bench of Chief Justice H L Dattu and Justice Amitava Roy said.

Deccan Chronicle reports that the bench was hearing a plea filed by Sushila Bai Himmat Rao Patil, through advocate Manohar Lal Sharma, seeking the cancellation of bail granted to Khan.
