Supreme Court issues notice to Salman Khan in poaching case

Salman Khan 6

The Supreme Court has issued a notice to Salman Khan in the 1998 chinkara poaching case, in which he had been acquitted in.

According to Deccan Chronicle, the court today agreed to hear the plea filed by Vasundhara Raje-led Rajasthan Government opposing the acquittal. They claim that Khan’s driver was not intentionally cross-examined by his lawyers.

“The government is studying the merits and demerits of the case and has decided to appeal against the decision in the Supreme Court,” the state’s Law Minister, Rajendra Rathore, was cited in the publication saying.

The Rajashthan court acquitted Khan in July after a lack of evidence against him.
