Supreme Court extends Subrata Roy’s parole

The Supreme Court has extended the parole of Sahara Group’s Subrata Roy.

The bench headed by Chief Justice T.S. Thakur said the parole was extended to 3rd August and would need to deposit Rs. 300 crore.

Initially, Roy was granted parole on 6th May 2016 for two months.

Roy was imprisoned on 4th May 2014 for failure to comply with 2012 order directing.
