Suparna Singh quits NDTV as CEO

Suparna Singh has stepped down from the role of CEO at NDTV, with immediate effect.

The news was confirmed by the company through a regulatory filing. Exchange4Media reports that Singh was appointed CEO on 4th December 2017, subject to the receipt of requisite approval from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The ministry is yet to give the approval, and so Singh was acting as the interim CEO.

The filing stated, “This approval was promptly applied for on December 12, 2017, but has not yet been received. Subsequently, Ms. Suparna Singh and the company entered into an appointment agreement to appoint Ms. Singh as the CEO, where the appointment was conditional upon receipt of such approval. Accordingly, Ms. Suparna Singh has been acting as interim CEO during this interregnum.”
