Sunrise TV begins testing ahead of Sky launch?

Sunrise TV has commenced testing EPG data ahead of its official launch on Sky Digital next month.

The news about Sunrise TV launching on Sky was exclusively revealed on BizAsia.co.uk last week.

EPG data of the channel suggests that programmes will consist of shows imported from India such as ‘Punjabi Pop’, Mumbai Masala’ and ‘Hasya Factory’. Bollywood movies and locally recorded shows are also expected to form the schedule.

Sources close to BizAsia.co.uk have said that the channel is likely to be available free-to-air initially before encrypted. There has also been speculation about Sunrise TV being added to the MAX Mix bundle of channels but this can’t be confirmed at this stage.

BizAsia.co.uk awaits an official response from Sunrise Radio about its TV service, which has been in the planning for over three years.

Sunrise TV is expected to join the Sky EPG on Monday 4th February.

EPG testing can be tuned in by following the steps below (audio and video testing soon):
