Sunrise Radio’s Tony Patti to DJ at Cannes

Sunrise Radio’s ‘Breakfast’ presenter, Tony Patti has told BizAsia.co.uk that he has been chosen as one of the DJs to provide entertainment at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival.

He said he was chosen out of four potential candidates to DJ at the prestigious event. On being chosen, Tony said, “Because of the diversity of the event they felt that they needed an all rounder type of entertainer for all their after-parties, someone who could cater for the European music as well as the Asian sector.

I couldn’t believe it at first when we got the phone call, I thought someone was just winding me up, but then they went on to say that they’ve done a lot of research on me and my name kept on popping up at their meetings, and of course the courtesy of Sunrise Radio helped a lot.”

He added, “As an Asian DJ these opportunities don’t come very often and I hope I can do our community proud. I am really looking forward to this event and being alongside ‘A’ list Hollywood and Bollywood stars one to one. Now which Asian DJ do you know that gets opportunities like this? I’m really chuffed and very excited about it all.”

The Cannes Film Festival is one of the world’s oldest film festivals, which is held in the resort town of Cannes, in the south of France. This year’s event is on until Sunday 22nd May.
