Sunrise Radio makes ‘Sarita-Ravi Show’ permanent

Sunrise Radio trouble woes continue
Sunrise Radio trouble woes continue

After a successful run recently, the two long running presenters Sarita Sabharwal and Ravi Sharma have been given a permanent slot together on Sunrise Radio.

The show, which will be known as ‘Sarita and Ravi Show’ will take the weekday mid-morning slot between 09:00 and 13:00. Only a few days ago, the duo presented a handful of shows together to coincide with the station’s pledge for money special programming. However, the experiment worked so well, the station has decided to retain the new slot.

Prior to the new format, Ravi Sharma presented the 09:00 ‘Manoranjan’ show, followed by Sarita Sabharwal’s lifestyle show at 11:00.

Sunrise Radio is currently under the scanner after it was revealed on BizAsia that it owed the HMRC over 400,000. After a brief stint of appeals to listeners on the station, they were subsequently stopped. Avtar Lit, chairman of the group, went on the station’s ‘Drivetime’ slot to let listeners know that donations were no longer required as the station had the finances under control. Sunrise Radio has until mid-October to pay HMRC the debt that has been reported.
