Incidentally, Sarita Sabharawal who was presenting her show on Sunrise Radio 1 bid farewell in Hindi halfway through her show at 12:00. She was expected to finish as normal at 13:00 but BizAsia understands that Avtar Lit has agreed to run the stations without any ‘Sunrise Radio’ branding with back to back music. The first song after midday on the station was ironically ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’. The stations were running without any presenters between 12:00 and 13:00.
Sunrise Radio 1 and Sunrise Radio 3 (Kismat Radio Limited) are both running without any Sunrise Radio branding. BizAsia sources have also been informed that the new owners, who are rumoured to be Lyca Mobile, as well as the administrators, are at the studios.
Buzz Asia Limited, which trades as Sunrise Radio 2 has also incidentally gone back-to-back with its music playout. It is understood that the station is having a crisis meeting to discuss what will happen next.
