Sunrise Radio confirms Anushka Arora to move overseas
Sunrise Radio has announced that daytime host Anushka Arora will be moving abroad.
Due to her relocation, the station plans to cut her current five-day show down to just one day a week, though further details are still to be revealed. Arora currently presents the weekday afternoon slot from 12:00 to 16:00. Arora announced on her Tuesday show that she will present her final current show on Friday 21st February.
In a statement released by Sunrise Radio, it said, “Over the past two decades, Anushka has hosted one of Sunrise Radio’s peak daytime shows with great success. She has been a bubbly and energetic shining light, keeping Sunrise listeners entertained with great music, the latest Bollywood gossip, and sometimes exclusive interviews and stories, winning the hearts and loyalty of so many of them.”
Tony Lit MBE and MD of Sunrise Radio said, “On behalf of Sunrise Radio the Team and the Directors I would like to thank Anushka for her unwavering dedication and professionalism during her time as a Sunrise Radio Presenter. She has kept our audience entertained and won numerous awards and accolades. She will be missed greatly by us all as she embarks on her overseas adventure, but this is not goodbye as Anushka will always be part of the Sunrise family and will be doing a show for us from across the Pond.“

Arora has previously also worked at the BBC Asian Network and Club Asia Radio.
