Sunrise Punjabi Radio launches RSL in B’ham

Sunrise Radio’s newly launched digital station Punjabi Radio has begun its RSL broadcast in Birmingham on 107.3FM.

Punjabi Radio’s FM presence in Birmingham coincides with parent company Sunrise Radio’s upcoming three-day Asian Lifestyle Show at Birmingham’s NEC. The star-studded event takes place on 30th, 31st March and 1st April.

Punjabi Radio launched on DAB digital radio in the Midlands on the Wolverhampton multiplex replacing Yarr Radio. It launched on 17th August and broadcasts round the clock from Sunrise Radio’s headquarters in Southall.

It�۪s the first time Sunrise Radio is holding its annual Asian Lifestyle Exhibition in Birmingham, up until now the event has been held at London Olympia. With Punjabi Radio available on FM in Birmingham, the station hopes to create as much as noise as possible around the event.

It’s the first time Sunrise Radio is broadcasting an RSL in Birmingham. Its licence will allow Punjabi Radio to broadcast on FM until Sunday 1st April (the final day of the Asian Lifestyle Show). It started on Monday 5th March.
