Sunny & Shay join BBC London’s weekend show

Channel 4’s ‘The Family’ stars Sunny and Shay Grewal have joined BBC London 94.9 to present a Saturday evening show.

They will host the 20:00 – 22:00 slot from Saturday 8th January, as well as continuing their ‘Weekend Breakfast’ slot, which they started earlier this month on the BBC Asian Network.

David Robey, Managing Editor at BBC London, said, “I’m very excited by the new Saturday evening line-up ��� not Asian programmes as such, but programmes from Londoners who are Asian.”

Ex-BBC Asian Network presenters Nikki Bedi and Ray Khan also front shows on the London service. So could this be a move for the BBC Asian Network moving its presenters to local radio a part of downsizing the station before its closure? Watch this space.
