As reported byBizAsia earlier this year, the third installment of the ‘Masti’ franchise is currently in pre-production with the cast beingfinalised. It has now been heard that the makers are keen to sign Sunny Leone for the film but are facing problems as Leone is allegedly proving to be too pricey for them.
A source claiming to be a source from the film’s unit, informedMid Day, “We discussed a lot of names, including Sunny’s as her appeal is apt for the role. We had a chat with her team about it. The casting team, which is also in talks with a few other actresses, felt that it would be tough to afford her. We are figuring out the logistics and if things work out, we might speak with Sunny’s team again. Else, we will opt for another actress.”
The source also addedthat the sequel has been titled ‘Grand Masti Returns’.
Aftab Shivdasani, Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi, who featured in lead roles in both ‘Masti’ (2004) and ‘Grand Masti’ (2013), have been confirmed for the third installment too.
Sunny Leone will next be seen in ‘Ek Paheli Leela’, which is set to release on 10th April. Theactress also has Milap Zaveri’s’Mastizaade’ and Devang Dholakia’s ‘Kuch Kuch Locha Hai’ in her kitty.
