Sunny Leone opens up on her documentary

Sunny Leone

As previously reported byBizAsia, Sunny Leone is not happy with how her documentary, ‘Mostly Sunny’ has turned out. The actress has now opened up on the same, revealing why she is not happy with it and expressing that she does not want it to release in India.

Leone toldPTI, “I hope it doesn’t come to India. Because that’s not the story that is mine. This is somebody else’s opinion, somebody else’s vision. No one has a right to tell your life story except you… I surrendered to his (Dilip Mehta’s) vision but when it got to my story, how it looks and the story that is actually told… In my view no one in this entire world has a right to say how my life should be told… I am the one telling the story, it is my life. There were certain things I didn’t like and I wanted it to be for many people to watch, not just one age group. I don’t see my story as a sob story, where something went wrong. That’s not my story.”

The actress went on to add that she wanted the documentary to be one she could watch with her family and friends, one which would encourage younger women, however the filmmaker has included “so much material in there which was not needed”.

While Leone may not wish for the documentary to release in India, it is slated to premiere at the MAMI Film Festival in Mumbai later this year. The worldwide release is slated for December.
