Sunny Deol to direct son’s debut film

Sunny Deol has confirmed that he will be turning director for his son Karan Deol’s debut film next year.

The actor said the script was locked and would be going on the floors soon. He told Mumbai Mirror, “Both my sons, Karan and Rajvir, are training to become actors but they’re not developing six-packs. In our films the focus was always on building characters and not on building bodies.”

He added, “We’ve been working on the script for a year, simultaneously developing it alongside Ghayal Once Again. It will feature Bob (Bobby Deol) who’s been growing a beard for it, and no, he’s not playing a sardar.”

Deol will next be seen in ‘Ghayal Once Again’. He told the publication that the film was 95 per cent complete. “There is no pressure of expectations as we are treating the sequel like just another film. I’ll be sitting in on the edit soon to see if my vision has translated on screen well and what else needs to be done before it is a wrap,” he says.
