Sunjay Kapur’s mother accuses Priya Kapur of concealing wealth in estate dispute
The bitter inheritance battle over late industrialist Sunjay Kapur’s vast estate has escalated, with his mother Rani Kapur levelling fresh allegations against his widow Priya Kapur (Sachdev).
Rani Kapur has claimed before the Delhi High Court that Priya concealed the true extent of her son’s wealth, declaring only Rs. 1.7 crore in his accounts despite his reported annual salary being close to ₹60 crore. She further alleged that assets including luxury possessions and overseas transfers have not been accounted for, describing the situation as “massive concealment.”
The dispute has already seen Karisma Kapoor’s children, Samaira and Kiaan, challenge the authenticity of Sunjay’s will, arguing that it unfairly excluded them. Rani Kapur has now joined their challenge, questioning whether her son would truly have left his entire estate to Priya alone.
