Suniel Shetty faces backlash over harsh reaction to mimicry artist

Veteran actor Suniel Shetty has come under fire for his stern response to a mimicry artist who attempted to imitate him at a recent public event.

A video clip, which has since surfaced on Reddit, reportedly captures the incident at a gathering in Bhopal, although the exact date remains unconfirmed. In the footage, Shetty appears visibly irritated and rebukes the performer for what he describes as a poor impersonation.

He is heard saying, “This gentleman has been delivering various dialogues that don’t resemble my voice at all. I’ve never witnessed such substandard mimicry. When Suniel Shetty speaks, he speaks like a man… This sounded like a child. Son, if you’re going to mimic someone, do it properly, don’t deliver a poor imitation.” (translated from Hindi)

Following the reprimand, the artist apologises, insisting he wasn’t attempting to mimic Shetty directly. The actor responds curtly, “Don’t even try, son.
